The global growth in investments in artificial intelligence has significantly increased demand for server hardware components and raised prices for both end user devices and server equipment. As a result, procurement prices for workstations and other end user devices as well as server equipment used in public administration are increasing, and uncertainty in supply chains is growing. In addition, licensing costs for widely used software products are rising.
In 2025, the operations and financial performance of the Government ICT Centre Valtori were largely in line with plans. Cost recovery of operations was excellent.
We are publishing this notice in accordance with Article 34 of the General Data Protection Regulation to inform all Valtori data subjects about a personal data breach.
Valtori identified a data breach on 30 January 2026 in the mobile device management service it provides. The attacker gained access to information used in operating the service, including names, work email addresses, phone numbers, and device details. A user’s precise location cannot be determined based on this data. According to current information, no data stored directly on the mobile devices themselves has been compromised.

The Finnish Government has appointed Master of Arts Jussi Kivinen as Director General of the Government ICT Centre Valtori. Kivinen currently serves as Director General of the Legal Register Centre.

Valtori is currently working on several projects and reforms that are important for our future: Valtori's Valo internal development programme, the implementation programme for the new service strategy and the central government's productivity programme. We, our customers and society have a lot going on. We also needed to update our vision in order to respond to this and keep up with the times.
As a provider of ICT services, sustainability and responsibility are an integral part of our statutory duties at Valtori. Our third sustainability report explains how we promote sustainable development and the sustainability of our operations in 2023.
Valtori's financial statements for 2023 have been completed. In 2023, the use of Valtori’s services expanded and Valtori’s total turnover continued to increase. Growth particularly originated from the Tuve activities, although continuous services grew strongly in both the Tori and Tuve operating areas.

The financial statements have been completed for Valtori’s ninth year of operation. In 2022, the use of Valtori's services continued to expand as a result of digitalisation and new customer relationships.
